Hey, I’m Aimee. My close friends call me Aimee Cait, so feel free to do so. I’m a 20-year-old little girl from South Louisiana (born & bred in the 225) living every day of my life as an adventure.
I have an incredible cast of characters in my life called my family – I’m one of 6 children, and of those 6 I’m 2nd oldest.
I have two incredible brothers – a big brother, JP, and a little brother, Gray.
Then, I’ve got three amazing little sisters – Lindsey, Ryan and Cassidy.
My parents are the best friends I have, and they’ve raised one hell of a family. I’d rather be with them than anywhere else in the world. I am so fully in love with the family I’m a part of.
A little bit more about me…
To make with a gross understatement: I love music. My earliest memories consist of this gorgeous juxtaposition of Southern Baptist hymns & classic rock. Dad took time as I grew up to play this perpetual music trivia game with me, the result being a veritable wealth of absolutely useless classic rock knowledge. I’ve obviously not limited myself to any one genre – I’ll listen to anything once.
This is the 2nd year of my proper blogging adventure. I’ve returned from my 9 month stint in the UK as a Christian youth worker with Durham Youth For Christ, which was (to sum it all up) a fantastic thrill ride of despair & joy, failure & triumphs… an amazing once-in-a-lifetime learning experience that I’ll not soon forget. Gee whiz, what a journey.
As of March 2009, I’ve been admitted to the University of Memphis for the Fall 2009 semester. I’ve been awarded their Provost Scholarship and I’ve also been accepted into their Honors College. (Yeah, I’m slackjawed.) So I’m not 100% sure as to what I’ll be studying, but I’m stoked beyond belief to finally be headed towards a degree.
