What’s more earth-shattering than a hurricane?

An earthquake, sir.

I was in bed, wondering, “What is that shivering?”

Turns out it was a magnitude 5.2 earthquake.

I know… right?

Just felt a bit of a tremor, but still. That mess was a bit unnerving.

English counties...

“The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the epicentre of the 5.2 magnitude quake was near Market Rasen in Lincolnshire. “ (source – BBC NEWS)

Find Lincolnshire on the map… then find Durham. I’m in Durham – so I was a fair distance away from the origin of the tremor. BBC says that this was the biggest quake in 25 years, since a magnitude 5.4, which struck North Wales in 1984.

Crazy stuff, man. Crazy stuff.

Which browser are you using, Mr. Friedrichs? If you’ll look up near Scotland, the 3rd county down is County Durham. x
